Project Nari Shakti

Gender equality and women’s empowerment are integral to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Only by ensuring the rights and opportunities of women and girls can we create a just, inclusive society, foster economies that work for everyone, and protect our shared environment for generations to come.

At Uriamghat Foundation, we believe that empowering women is the key to empowering entire communities. Project Nari Shakti is our dedicated initiative to achieve the utmost goals of the SDGs through holistic women empowerment.

This project is centered around:

• Self-Defense Training Programs: Empowering women physically and emotionally to face challenges confidently, including the rising concerns of sexual harassment and violence against women.

• Educational Campaigns for Men: Promoting respect and equality by educating men on the importance of supporting and respecting women, fostering a culture of mutual understanding and inclusivity.

Through Project Nari Shakti, we aim to build a world where women are equipped with the tools, resources, and confidence to lead change. By addressing gender inequality, we take one step closer to achieving sustainable development, creating stronger communities, and shaping a better future for all.
